Rafael “Droid” Burgos or King Droid

My name is Rafael “Droid” Burgos or King Droid. I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY on July 23rd 1994. I am currently thirty years old. I have been dancing what i wanna say my whole life but started flexing (a street dance style crafted in Brooklyn with origins and roots from dancehall and influences of Hip-Hop) in 2010. Making this over a decade of being in this dance culture competing at battle events such as Battlefest, DREAM etc. and even winning the title for multiple competitions. In 2015 I began to fully pursue my career performing in the dance production Flexn at the Park Avenue Armory, Here we took the vocabulary of our movement and we used it in a contemporary storytelling manner In which we toured to various countries like France, Italy, Australia, Brazil,New Zealand etc. performing and teaching at their annual festivals. I have also taught classes as a teaching artist with “The Shed” in NY.
